We supplied Nick Willoughby at Crème de la Crêpe with some of our Plank Cubes [finished in our Limed wax] and our Douglas Fir Blocks.

Nick started making his delicious french fancies from a small stall in the streets of St. Andrews. It was a success from the word ‘go’ as Nick was selling 300 portions a day; and with a choice of 80 fillings to choose from his customers kept coming back! 23 year-old Nick was awarded Fife’s “Shell Live wire Young Entrepreneur of the year 2005” for his efforts and has now moved to the west end where he has opened a funky eatery in stylish Covent Garden.

But selling totally moreish posh pancakes wasn’t enough for Nick. To add more niche to his market, he has teamed up with " Whatever it takes " – a charity which gathers artworks from leaders in all fields; royalty, film, music, sports, Nobel Peace Prize Laureates etc. All artworks are donated and then used to create unique “Whatever it Takes” products.

Nick is using the ethically produced plates and cups that are decorated with artwork from the likes of Coldplay, Gwen Stefani, Heidi Klum, Nicole Kidman, Ewan McGregor and many others. All this has got Crème de la Crêpe onto the influential U.S. site ’Shecky’s’ who have recommended it in their “5 days in London Guide”.
