We pride ourselves on the Indigo Delivery & Installation service providing an experienced, dedicated service to each delivery whether a singular item or a full room package.

Your furniture will be delivered in an Indigo van, with a fully trained, two-man team who will install the furniture in a room of your choice and also take away any packaging for recycling.

Indigo’s bespoke branded packaging has been specifically designed to protect your piece during transit, and is made for us at a local factory just a stones throw from our head office in Derbyshire.

Indigo Furniture is handmade to order and during busier periods lead times can be slightly longer, as this information is subject to change please do check back regularly.

Please note: We take the ‘order date’ as the date on which the deposit payment is received. If paying by finance, your lead time can be increased if there is a delay in returning the required paperwork to us. For bespoke furniture please allow 8 – 10 weeks from order to delivery.

The Indigo 14 day returns policy is our promise to you that if you are not delighted with your purchase simply let us know at the point of delivery.*

PREPARING FOR DELIVERY

  • Before your delivery it’s best to think about how your new furniture is going to fit into your space. Take into account the fixed features in your room such as doors, windows, light and plug sockets.
  • Measure the height and width of doorways or any windows the furniture may need to fit through. The clearance in hallways is also important, ensure there is enough room for the delivery team to manoeuvre.
  • The dimensions of each piece of furniture can be found on the product pages – use them as a reference to compare the dimensions of the room and the route your furniture you will have to take.

ON THE DAY OF DELIVERY

  • Please ensure the room is clear and ready for our delivery team to install your piece. For example if you are accepting delivery of a bed please remove the old bed from the room, this is un-fortunately not a service your Indigo delivery team can offer due to a busy delivery schedule.
  • Any access to the room such as hallways and porches also needs to be clear for our drivers to bring in your furniture.

DELIVERY AND RETURNS FAQ

Do you deliver nationwide?

Yes, Indigo is based in Derbyshire and our delivery teams work nationwide.

How much will my delivery cost?

As a general rule of thumb the local Derbyshire area is £30, National deliveries are £60, lower Scotland and Southwest England are £100. If your postcode does not generate a charge please speak to our Sales Team who will provide the cost. Please note, delivery charges apply to UK Mainland only and the Delivery Calculator does not apply to orders placed overseas, UK islands, commercial orders or certain bespoke orders. Where possible we may be able to package items for delivery by your own third party courier subject to a small packaging fee. Please contact our Sales team on 01629 581800 for more information.

How long will it take for my furniture to be delivered?

As Indigo furniture is handmade to order please allow 6 to 8 weeks from order to delivery and 8 to 10 weeks in Scotland and Cornwall, during busy periods our lead times may be longer. For bespoke furniture please allow 10 – 12 weeks from order to delivery. Please note that we take the ‘order date’ as the date on which the deposit payment is received. If paying by finance, your lead time can be increased if there is a delay in returning the required paperwork to us.

Can I collect my furniture myself?

Yes you can collect your furniture at no delivery charge from our warehouse in Alfreton, Derbyshire, DE55 7FQ – Monday – Friday 9:00am – 4:00pm Please request this when choosing your delivery option. Please do ensure your vehicle is a suitable size to fit any furniture in. If you’ve any questions on this please do call the Indigo despatch team on 01629581800 option 2.

Who will arrange my delivery date?

The Indigo despatch team will contact you to arrange a convenient time for your delivery once your furniture has been made for you. Deliveries are made Monday to Friday and our despatch team will arrange a suitable two hour delivery slot with you.

Your delivery team will contact you before 9.30am on the day of the delivery to confirm their estimated time of arrival. They are also happy to call you at a set time prior to their arrival i.e. 1 hour before to enable you to arrange your day around the delivery.

What time will my furniture be delivered?

The team delivering your furniture will call you before 9.30am to confirm their estimated time of arrival, which is dependent on any travel disruptions. If you wish they can also call at a set time prior to their arrival.

How can I change my delivery date?

Please contact our Despatch team on 01629 581800 option 2 at least 3 business days prior to delivery if you are unable to accept delivery on the date agreed with them. If you contact us in less than 3 business days you may be charged a rescheduling fee dependent on circumstances.

Who will deliver my furniture?

Your furniture will be delivered and installed by our own fully trained delivery team. The delivery team will provide you with the help and knowledge you need to care for your furniture and will remove all packaging for recycling.

How long will it take to assemble my furniture?

Please bear in mind that some of our products are built up on site for ease of access, therefore allow time for our delivery staff to assemble the furniture in your home. Please allow approximately 30 minutes for a bed and about an hour for a wardrobe

Many larger pieces of Indigo Furniture have been designed to fully break down so that they can be easily transported into your home. Therefore please allow up to an hour for these to be constructed. For further details please call a member of our Sales team on 01629 581800.

Will all of the furniture I have ordered be delivered at the same time?

Yes, we deliver all of your furniture at the same time. On special request it may be possible for certain items to be delivered as soon as they are ready. This is subject to an additional delivery charge.

Do you install furniture on delivery?

Yes, your delivery charge also includes full installation by Indigo’s delivery team. They will place or construct your furniture in whichever room you wish. Please ensure that your furniture will fit into the allocated space prior to the delivery team arriving. Some items as non-standard can be broken down in advance and re assembled on delivery. In some circumstances an additional cost may be applied for this.

What about access at my property?

If you are concerned with access for larger items please inform our staff on order (we can break down some items in advance and re-assemble them on delivery if necessary, in some circumstances an additional cost may be applied).

Can you remove existing furniture?

No, due to health and safety restrictions we do not remove any existing furniture (including mattresses) from your home. There are many charities up and down the country who are able to pick up unwanted furniture free of charge such as The Furniture Donation Network.

Do I have to be there myself to accept delivery?

It is not necessary for yourself to be present when your furniture is delivered. Anyone can accept the delivery as long as we receive a signature once it has been installed. Our Delivery team can leave smaller items in a safe place with permission from you.

What happens if no one is there to accept delivery on the agree date and time?

Please note a rescheduling fee will be charged if there is no one available to accept delivery on the date agreed or if it is not possible to fit your ordered furniture into your home. We do however always try and take into account the circumstances.

Do you accept returns?

Please inform your delivery team if you wish to return your items at the point of delivery and you will be eligible to a full refund. Will you remove all furniture packaging?

Yes, our Delivery team will remove and recycle all of your furniture packaging.

How are smaller items delivered?

If you have ordered smaller items and furniture, these will be delivered at the same time. A third party courier will deliver smaller items only and there is a separate delivery charge for these.

Do you deliver outside of the UK?

Generally we do not accept orders from outside of the UK due to the high delivery costs that would be incurred. However please contact our dispatch team on 01629 581800 who will be able to give you further information.

SMALL ACCESSORIES RETURNS POLICY FAQ

Can I return my accessory to you?

Accessories must be returned to us within 14 days of receipt for an exchange or refund. Please take the time to fully inspect your items and keep all packaging until you are sure you are keeping your accessory. Accessories need to be repacked with care and sent back to us in their original packaging. The returned item is your responsibility until it arrives with us so please ensure it is packaged effectively to prevent damage to the accessory or boxes. This does not affect your statutory rights.

How do I return a large accessory?

Items classed as large accessories are Mirrors, Oak Wall Art, Baskets and Sled drawers. Please refer to our furniture returns policy for information on returning these items.

How do I return my small accessory to you?

Please notify us if you are returning an accessory to us by filling in the below form. We will confirm we have received your form and notify you when your return has arrived back with us.

Do I need to pay to return my accessory?

Yes, with the exception of faulty or damaged goods we do not pay for return postage. Therefore please ensure you obtain a proof of postage incase the parcel fails to be returned to us.

How do I cancel my accessory order?

Please contact us within three days if you wish to cancel your order of accessories. This can be done by contacting our Sales team on 01629 581800.

What happens if I decide to return my order after 14 days?

If an item is returned to us after the 14 days or is in a non-re saleable condition we will issue a credit note at the discretion of Indigo Furniture.

How do I receive a refund or exchange an item I have received as a gift?

Accessories received as a gift can only be refunded to the original purchaser. Items cannot be exchanged without the original purchaser knowing.

When will I receive my refund?

Refunds will be processed within 7 days from receipt of your returned accessory. Refunds may take up to 5 days to process and appear in your account.

Can I exchange my accessory?

Yes although this will be subject to a delivery charge for your exchanged item.

My accessory is damaged/faulty how do I return it?

If your accessory has arrived with you damaged/faulty please inform us within 48 hours of receipt. Please send us a photograph of the damaged product with your order number and contact details to returns@indigofurniture.co.uk. We will then discuss a replacement or refund with you.
