Sweet Medicine was an ITV television series filmed in 2003 about a family doctor’s surgery in the Peak District. The majority of filming took place in the historic market town of Wirksworth (a couple of miles up the road from our showroom in Matlock), which made the set for the fictional Derbyshire town of Stoneford.

The show was created as a replacement to Peak Practice; we worked closely with the set designers providing furniture and furnishings for the main characters who each had unique areas to be furnished including a disused water mill and an Edwardian vicarage.

Sweet Medicine starred Patricia Hodge and Jason Merrells.
