All of our wood beds are handmade from solid plank or oak timbers by traditionally trained cabinet makers. By using traditional woodworking techniques, such as mortice and tenon joints, we can produce very strong and sturdy wooden beds that will last you a lifetime! That’s why we offer our legendary 15 year guarantee on all our wood furniture.
The timber for our beds comes from sustainable sources only and due to the natural milling process of the timber we are able to make such characterful and unique pieces of furniture.
As the wood is cut at the timber mill, the planks are left with the beautiful saw marks on the surface. It is this natural character that many furniture manufacturers get rid of, not us! We love the natural texture and unique quality that these saw marks add to our furniture.
Both our oak and plank beds are finished with a natural beeswax which helps protect the wood, bring out the natural characteristics in the timber and, more importantly, is easy to apply and maintain.
Built with you in mind, all our wood beds can be broken down for delivery and the larger beds in our collection can be dismantled into individual planks so they can fit into pretty much any room in your house. Don’t worry, when we deliver your bed, we don’t just drop a load of boxes on your front door. Instead, our experienced delivery guys will assemble and set up your bed wherever you want it go, and of course we take away our own packaging to be recycled.

Indigo Furniture makes wooden beds from sustainable timbers and using traditional woodworking techniques. Due to the great lengths we go to preserve the natural markings in the wood, each piece of furniture is unique and that’s the way we like it and we know you will to.
Our wood beds are either made from sturdy plank timbers or solid Riven Oak ensuring you will be sleeping in silent slumber for many years to come. Built with you in mind, all our wood beds can be broken down into their main component parts (headboard, footboard, siderails and slats). Not only that but the larger beds in our range, like the Plank Wooden Bed, Four Poster Bed, Plank Windsor Bed, Plank Stocks Bed and Taper Four Poster bed can be dismantled into individual planks to even fit through a loft hatch!
