Is it safe to enter my credit/debit card details online?

All our online payment transactions are taken through Protx.

Protx provides very high levels of internet and physical security to ensure sensitive information is never compromised, their web site can be viewed at www.protx.com Protx VSP is designed so that we don’t hold any sensitive information on our site, should anyone gain unauthorised access to our database the information they obtain will not allow them to recover credit card details or other sensitive information.

  • Credit/debit card details are secured within 128-bit encrypted sessions.
  • Sensitive information is stored on a heavily encrypted database that is protected by multiple government approved firewalls.
  • Additional security measures include a security key that is used to produce an MD5 hash value. Hash values are often used as digital signatures as they cannot be reversed to obtain the original information. They allow the receiver to validate that the information received is identical to that sent.

What is 3D Secure?

3-D Secure was developed by Visa and Mastercard to improve the security of Internet payments. A transaction using Verified by Visa/SecureCode will initiate a redirect to the website of the card issuing bank to authorize the transaction. You will then be required to enter your online password for the transaction to go though. If you haven’t registered with verified by Visa/SecureCode your card issuing bank will ask you to register when you are redirected. Once registered you will not have to go through this process again and you will use the same password every time you purchase on a website with 3D secure.
