Produced in Italy the Conka and the Shabby leathers are carefully selected from the top 5% of hides each one with its own distinct look and feel.

During the manufacture process most hides are corrected by pressing and then skimming scratches and marks out which in turn thins therefore weakening the leather.

The method used for our hides is a process that dates back to the 19th century that allows the faults and marks such as warble fly bites, scars and creases natural to the hide to be clearly visible. This results in a hide that is very soft and waxy thus creating a feel that is warm in winter and cool in summer.

These natural features help to highlight the individual characteristics of each piece of furniture creating a truly unique feel and vintaged look.
