The super chunky Double Oak Beam Coffee Table is made from seasoned solid oak 8″ × 8″ beams.
Over time the wood will continue to dry with character enhancing splits appearing, creating a unique piece of furniture every time. With this ideal in mind, we leave our Oak Beam Coffee Tables free to move naturally. All we use is our special bedding compound that allows for this movement while maintaining the correct position of the individual oak beams.
Our oak is sourced from a family owned saw mill in Central France where they have been responsibly farming oak for generations; from here the oak beams are shipped to our Limited Editions workshop in Derbyshire where each table is individually handcrafted.
The Double Oak Beam Coffee is finished by hand ensuring we leave as much of the wonderful saw marks & natural characteristics of the wood as possible. Worried about splinters? Don’t be, although it’s called ‘Rough Sawn’ each piece is sanded by hand to remove any harsh burrs and to achieve a ‘smooth to the touch’ finish.
