Simple, funky and different! The Oak Beam Magazine Rack is handmade from solid seasoned oak and over time the wood will continue to dry with character enhancing splits appearing, creating a unique piece of furniture with individual character every time.
The natural split oak used for the Oak Beam Magazine Rack are made from solid 8" blocks. The oak beams has been seasoned (i.e. drying) for approximately 5 years, over time the wood will continue to dry with character enhancing splits appearing, creating an unique piece of furniture with individual character every time.
Our oak is sourced from a family owned saw mill in Central France where they have been responsibly farming oak for generations; from here the oak beams are shipped to our Limited Editions workshop in Derbyshire where each rack is individually handcrafted.
The Oak Beam Magazine Rack is finished by hand ensuring we leave as much of the wonderful saw marks & natural characteristics of the wood as possible. Worried about splinters? Don’t be, although it’s called ‘Rough Sawn’ each piece is sanded by hand to remove any harsh burrs and to achieve a ‘smooth to the touch’ finish.
