I could say the furniture I have is awful – but it would be in the truest sense of the word for I am in AWE! I stand in my bedroom and just look at it and smile the biggest smile. We wanted to email you to say a huge thank you for the delivery of furniture that we received today. The furniture, a dining room table, two benches and two chairs are absolutely beautiful. However, the main reason for emailing you, is to commend your excellent service throughout. A friend told us about the website, but we were nervous about dealing with a company we had not heard of. We were extremely impressed when I sent an email asking about samples, and you replied to us within six minutes! Also when we put our order in, you have phoned or emailed throughout the lead time to keep us updated. You called last week to say the furniture would be delivered today, and that we would get a call at 9.30am for an update on the time of delivery. Sure enough we got the call promptly, and the furniture was delivered exactly when you said it would be. The delivery went smoothly, and the two delivery men were efficient and polite.

We are very critical of the general standard of customer service in the UK, so it has been a surprise and delight to receive such exemplary service from you. We are both very keen cooks, so can’t wait to have friends and family around and show off our stunning furniture.

I was told my furniture would take 3 months, that I would be called half way through that just to confirm things were going as planned, then a choice of dates for delivery were mentioned and then someone else phoned to confirm the date and said I would be phoned when the guys were a couple of hours away. This all happened to the “T”. I live in a very rural part of the Highlands and whilst I spoke with the guys when they were 5 minutes away and directed them for that time they found it exactly when they said they’d be there. I feel compelled to write another testimonial after having just taken delivery of more of your fabulous furniture. This time I had ordered the chunky table and provence chairs, a leather baby back chair (for my previous purchase – your desk) and a king size mattress. Yet again your service was second to none. I am probably your most indecisive customer, having revised my order at least 4 times, but none of your customer sales reps ever got irritated or frustrated with me. The table and chairs are stunning and I simply can’t wait to climb into bed to sleep on the mattress. Many many thanks.

Now you have left us unable to get up for work! Our new bed is the most luxurious bed that money can buy, why stay in a hotel when you have this kind of luxury at home! The service you offer is second to none, from the moment we first walked into the store, our experience has been nothing but memorable. The sales team are fantastic and offer great advice on the size of furniture without giving the ‘hard sell’ and leaving you feel pressured to make a purchase (something that we greatly appreciated!), the after sales team were fab and kept us informed of the progress of the order every step of the way. We have to take our hats of to the delivery crew (chaps we salute you), houdini could take a leaf out of their book with the way they managed to get every item of furniture into our house with no bother. The guys were both so courteous and a pleasure to have in the house. The service levels that you offer are second to none and we will definitely be back for more.

I just wanted to say how pleased I am with the delivery we had last Thursday of the 5ft Plank Table and six Baby Roll Back Chairs. The furniture is of superior quality and every time I walk into our dining room I have to stand and admire it. The chairs are in Chilli Red and unbelievably comfortable and look wonderful with the table. To add to this, all the staff I spoke to were professional and extremely helpful. The delivery was perfect, they turned up on time and made an excellent job of putting the table together. We were also pleasantly surprised to get a very cool wooden box with wax and some helpful information. From start to finish, our dealings with Indigo have been second-to-none. Your website was our initial port of call after seeing one of your pieces on a DIY programme. Your website is informative and all pieces are easy to view. When we visited your shop you (Ali) were most helpful and didn’t rush us in signing up straight away. There was no hard sell, just a relaxed atmosphere. The showroom is so lovely i wish i could show everyone! On ordering our furniture your sales staff were very helpful, polite and courteous, as were the delivery team. All paperwork was as it should be and with us when we were told it would be. There was no hassle in setting up our payments. We were very impressed when, one week before the delivery date, we had a phonecall confirming the delivery date and the procedure the drivers follow. Fabulous, fabulous piece of furniture! Our order arrived early evening yesterday & I cannot complement you enough on this piece of furniture, which was initially chosen based on an image from your website. From start to finish the support from Indigo has been great- you gave us dates & times for delivery & stuck to these schedules implicitly.

The two guys that arrived last night were great & even though they had the long drive back to Derbyshire, they stayed with us until they had fully assembled the unit & allowed us to examine it. In all fairness our old cottage must have been quite a challenge to them as they had to persuade a very large & solid mattress up a very old bendy staircase.

From the sales team through to delivery and installation this has been such a pleasant experience.

The furniture is great and just the colour and quality (how HEAVY is the dining table!) we wanted (always a worry when buying on the net as you’re never sure how it will be in real life).
But it’s all the other touchs that have made the difference.
Everyone on the phone was friendly.
Having big s.a.e for all the credit forms (ie had some other stuff for the house where companies have missed this bit)

Delivery team turned up on time, were extremely polite, and it’s the little touchs that make the difference. They took their shoes off without asking. Id had a mattress down in the spare room where they put the double bed. After building the bed they put the mattress on and re-made the bed!!.
The care they took with bringing the furniture in, even down to how they took it out the van!. (hotpoint fridge delivery folks in comparison have scratched our wooden floors and broken a tile.)

So in all in all, absolutely recommend it, only problem is my Aunt and Uncle from two dales are now insisting on coming down to try it out, suppose its better than them sleeping in your showroom.

Just want to say we are very happy with the order, and appreciate your dealing with the changes made and the extra wait was worth it for the new Bed which we were able to change from a Panel lg-chunky. We are extremely happy with the second choice a King PANEL BED which fits in perfectly in our bedroom with the other pieces, and is just the right size without being too overpowering for the scheme since our room has a low ceiling and is rather narrow but everything is perfect together the drawers/dressing table/and beside tables.

We’ll definitely be back to consider purchasing one of the tables when we’ve finished refurbishing soon.

I would also like to say that I thought that the whole process was very well handled, particularly given that this was a large order and that delivery was always going to be difficult. I have never ordered anything of this value without doing a lot of research first. As such I was always concerned that I was taking a gamble on what the furniture would look like. Fortunately, the website gives a very good likeness to the look of the final product. I was very pleased with the quality of the furniture. The carpenter that came with us to Austria was also impressed with the design and build quality. (He has never seen bed slats that thick.) The furniture goes incredibly well in our old wooden house in the mountains. A great combination of traditional materials with modern design. The children think that their beds look wonderful. I was also exceptionally surprised that there was only one problem item in the delivery, I had anticipated worse. Alas, it was one of the larger items. (There was also a small scratch on one cupboard, but that will come out with the wax provided.) Thank you also for getting the desk to us with the order that really helped. Alas we only had one night to enjoy it before we had to come back home, otherwise I would have sent some pictures to you. It really has transformed the house. Thank you.

There aren’t many businesses nowadays that treat their customers as well as this and it is refreshing to see that there are still some businesses that look after customers long after they have left the shop.

I just wanted to say how pleased I am with my furniture that was delivered recently.

As promised the delivery men called me in the morning with an estimated time of arrival, they called again later that day to say they could deliver early. I was delighted with this.

Both the guys worked hard assembling the items that needed it and placing the chests of drawers and bedside cabinets wherever I wanted them. The addition of the blanket box made it all so worthwhile. The mattress is fantastic too. I’m so pleased that I went for the 2000 pocket one. The furniture looks fabulous and is the envy of many.

What really makes it so nice too is to know that its all made in England .

I will be back for more in the future.

I was travelling to work one morning when I heard about a competition on Trent Fm to win an Indigo bed. The previous evening my son told me that his bed had broken so I thought why not enter the competition. To my complete suprise I received a phone call on the following day to say that I had won the Plank Bed that had been slept in by X Factor winner Alexander Burke. I was absolutely thrilled and couldn’t wait to received my new bed. But because I was moving house in the next few weeks i asked if the bed could be delivered later to my new address.

When I finally received it, I was absolutely astonished at the beauty of the bed. It is so solid and beautifully made and it has been signed by members of X Factor. I applied for the X-Factor Final tickets online with Ram FM just as a passing thought, but never expected to win! I only had 24 hours to buy myself a new dress & get everything ready for the trip to the studio – it was all very exciting!

The show itself was incredible – especially the duet between Alexandra & Beyonce, as anyone that saw the final will tell you! The seats were excellent & my friend was even able to have a few words with Simon Cowell during one of the advert breaks! The audience was star-studded… close by i spotted Girls Aloud, Jerry Springer, Kelly Brook, not to mention all the contestents that had been knocked out in earlier rounds. It really was a special occassion.

Daniel Evan’s bed arrived shortly after our return home & now takes pride of place in my spare bedroom… it’s certainly a talking point when I have friends over to stay!

We love the furniture! We were looking for modern and rustic pieces to furnish our pub with, and we thought there was no such thing-until we came across Indigo. The telephone service was brilliant, and the staff were always very helpful and efficient. We had an opening date within they quote of eight weeks, and were shocked and pleasantly surprised when they said that wouldn’t be a problem.
We ordered and are thrilled-we love it, and the customers do too. It’s chunky, well made, fantastic value for money and it feels lovely too! We are so impressed with the leather as we were weary of how well it would wear being commercial, and these are the best tub chairs I have ever seen. The furniture and colour mixes well with our previous pieces of furniture, but now we want more!

It has been a long time since my wife and I have been this impressed with a company. The product was delivered on time in perfect condition with two young, polite and impressive guys, who instructed on care and repair perfectly.

When we modernised our Edwardian cottage my husband and I had spent ages trying to find furniture for our new family room that would fit with the style. We didn’t want anything too modern but at the same time antique style furniture just didn’t go. Your customer service is second to none, Tim was great in the pre and post sales, he was friendly, polite and efficient. Then your administration team kept us informed of the status of our order on a regular basis, which we felt was excellent as often happens you get forgotten about once you have placed an order, but not with Indigo.

We did come up to Matlock before making the purchase, and if we weren’t already sold on the furniture before that there was no way that you could not fall in love with it after seeing it in the ‘Grain’ !!!!

Along with Tim, your design team also provided us with a bespoke dressing/bedside table for my wife and when it arrived it was better than we could have ever hoped for.

Finally on delivery day the two young guys, in your own transport, kept us informed of when they would arrive. I do not normally take time out to write to a retail organisation but felt that on this occasion I couldn’t avoid it. I recently purchased a plank taper leg table from yourselves along with four chairs and had to thank you for the attention and care you have paid to me as a customer. Not only are the items of great quality and excellent value for money, but your whole team at Indigo have been fantastic.

I was impressed to receive a call just after 9am on the day of delivery telling me at what time the delivery vehicle would arrive in my area, then I was impressed with the two delivery guys who came to install it. The table was too high but they came up with various options as to how to resolve it and never once made me feel like I was being difficult or awkward. They were helpful from start to finish. Then you offered to put it right for me in a way which exceeded my expectations (sending the joiner to site) and he also rang me (twice, in fact) to confirm his arrival time. He has just left after having been completely polite, friendly and once again extremely helpful. He offered various options again if we couldn’t get the height right. As it happens, the table is now perfect and I am left feeling very well looked after – thank you so much. I will be recommending you to all my friends. I just wish other retail outlets could learn some things from you – it has been a pleasure to do business with you.

We Love it, We love it, WE LOVE IT!!! We just received our new Plank Panel Bed. It was the fruits of our wedding gift list. So not only is it the new matrimonial bed but lovingly gifted to us by all of our closest family & friends. It fits perfectly where I wanted, feels divine & was ordered, delivered & put together with no fuss what so ever! What more do you need? There’s only 2 problems with it… #1. it makes all my other furniture not look so aesthetically pleasing, so I’m going to have to come back & buy more…oh well & #2. We don’t want to get out of bed! Just a note to say thank you so much to everyone at Indigo for our wonderful weekend break. The hotel was beautiful in a fantastic setting and the staff were lovely. The food in the Michelin star restaurant was amazing. Our toddler, Ismay was very well looked after and had a lovely time. After over a year of sleepless nights with the baby we really enjoyed being pampered for a change!

We all had a great time at Chatsworth. We visited the incredible gardens and Ismay loved seeing the animals on the farm and playing in the adventure playground.

Our visit to Indigo’s showroom was equally lovely. You had kindly laid on a fantastic brunch which we struggled to eat after our full English Breakfast at the hotel! With £1,000 to spend on your great range it was difficult to choose but we are really looking forward to receiving our snuggla, plank chest of drawers, shabby stool, and oak block lamp. Throughout the weekend we felt thoroughly spoilt and would like to thank you for thinking of everything and being so kind!

delivery was on time, actually a week earlier than quoted, and on the day of delivery we were given a delivery window which was met. the sofa was assembled on site (corner square arm) and no mess. comfort, workman ship excellent. thank you so much, we couldn’t have asked for more.

Having phoned today to express my delight in all aspects of ‘Indigo Furniture’, was asked if I’d email my comments and so am keeping my word and doing just that! Being chronically ill, I am unable to trail around shops so in January 2008, I began trawling the internet to furnish our gorgeous new barn conversion which would be ours on April 1st. We particularly wanted some furniture for the master bedroom and, as my husband is a, very busy (he’s head teacher of a bustling and successful school) and b, by his own admission, not at all arty or into interior design, he delegated the task to me. His only words of advice: Everything you buy has got to be ‘wow’ . Quite simply, when a search engine on the words ‘contemporary wooden furniture’ took me to Indigo, I knew I’d found that elusive ‘Wow’!!!

The website was easy to use and very informative, displaying furniture that was clearly individual and of the highest quality. I was entranced and ordered the main items for the master suite – the Morpheus bed, lamp tables, a mirror, some oak blocks and a junk linen cupboard. The following day I was contacted by telephone to go through the order and clarify delivery timescales – a faultless and professional approach from the outset.

This was then backed up by clear and professional paperwork posted out for my perusal. The inclusion of the ‘Plant a Tree in the North’ scheme and its supporting documentation showed a welcome but rare concern for our environment and helped to salve the conscience of me, as a demanding consumer, simply taking from our planet and future resources.

Having caught the bug, I kept returning to look at other products on the website and a couple of weeks down the line decided to expand my order, adding another 10+ items. Again, this was dealt with by friendly and efficient telephone staff who ensured the order could be ‘tied together’ and all could be delivered by the original date given and again speedily sent out revised clear and informative documentation.
The lead time on my order was a very long 12 weeks – so impatient was I to receive this beautiful furniture. However, as the promised delivery date neared, and in contrast to many other companies I have liaised with in the course of furnishing this new home, there were no phone calls detailing problems with suppliers or manufacture, no queries as regards to colours or the spec I had selected and no last minute unexplained hold ups to delay delivery! Also, no confusion over the delivery address and/or move date and knowing which number and address to contact me on at any given time. Just a simple phone call on the morning of delivery to provide a timeslot – how refreshingly fantastic!!!

When the 3 men strong delivery team arrived, I hadn’t finalised the positioning of some pieces within the house and said ‘just put everything in the master suite and we’ll sort it from there’. In response, I was told to take my time and decide – the men would put items wherever they needed to be. This response was typical of the delivery team’s professional and pleasant manner, again in contrast to numerous other angst ridden deliveries that couldn’t be moved here or there on health and safety grounds, or wouldn’t possibly fit around that staircase (only to be fitted in just fine after all!!!) In fact, the team worked for well over an hour positioning and assembling pieces without needing to ask me a single question. When a problem did arise – the team were two bolts short and so could not complete assembly that day – this was explained calmly, without tension or fuss and I was only made aware of it once a solution had already been found – no hysteria involving lots of moans, sighs, tensions and ‘what do they expect us to do’ – fantastic!!!
The 2 man team that arrived to finish the job the following day ensured I had the first job slot of the day and were supremely polite, friendly and courteous. They were also extremely professional, ensuring I understood how to care for the furniture without being patronising! They delivered some delightful locally handmade chocolates with a personal note to apologise for the inconvenience caused – another thoughtful and winning addition by those clever people at Indigo!

Now the furniture is here, it is even more superb and beautifully crafted then the photos on the fab website can portray. Doubtless, it will certainly be enjoyed for many years to come.

In summary, I am lucky enough to have sourced many items of high quality furniture from many suppliers over the last six months. What sets Indigo apart from this and into a class of its own is this: furniture of this quality coupled with the friendly, polite and professional personnel servicing every division of this company, ensures that Indigo have THE winning combination that is, I believe, truly unbeatable. When I first got the email saying that I’d won a bed I immediately thought it was just another spam email. You know the kind. But, after reading it I realised it was true and couldn’t quite believe it. The timing was just perfect. My old bed was in dire need of replacing some years ago but I could just not afford that kind of outlay. So I put up with the fact that when I went to bed at night it was like one of those kung fu movies, with me being attacked by 100 ninjas, as the broken springs tried to jab me to unconsciousness.

I had originally won the Morpheus bed but on closer inspection at the Indigo website, I found that there was no way it would fit in my room, it’s huge!
Indigo were kind enough to let me choose another along with a mattress and after a lot of research on their very informative website I decided to get the Four Poster bed along with the Memory Med 1000 mattress. They didn’t have to supply this particular mattress as I had won a Natural Fibre mattress as part of my prize but I was concerned about possible allergy reactions and Indigo came through and let me choose another. Brilliant!

I was told the bed would require 5-6 weeks to be made which seemed like a long time until I realised what was involved with actually making it. Having already browsed through their easy to use website I took it upon myself to find out a little bit about the process, and discovered that the timber is Quebec Yellow Wood sourced from a sustainable forest in Canada, which is then brought over and cut and shaped here. I can fully understand the lead time now!

The anticipation was immense and I couldn’t wait to get a good night’s sleep for the first time in years. When the time came I got an email stating that the bed was ready, but I found I couldn’t take delivery because of some personal responsibilities and Indigo were totally fine with that, although I was gutted!
However, a few weeks later I finally took delivery of the bed, and I can tell you…it was definitely worth the wait. The delivery guys were great, friendly, efficient, and were happy to answer any questions that I had. They even indulged me in getting the bed to the exact spot I wanted it in.

My first impressions of the bed were utter amazement. The stand out feature for me was the quality of the timber. I loved the colour. When I first read Quebec Yellow Wood, I thought…highlight marker pen! Just kidding. I got a sneak preview on the website but the pictures don’t do it any justice. The colour in rich, smooth and definitely not yellow. More like a kind of halfway house between pine (light) and mahogany (dark), like the little bears bed…just right. The grain in the wood was incredible, you can see every line and knot.
Although the wood is smooth it hasn’t been sanded to death, so along with that wonderful grain, you can feel the fantastic texture of it. Why isn’t all wood used this way?

I decided to go to sleep early that night so I could try it out. I have to say, when I lay down for the first time, I was nearly as overwhelmed by the mattress as I was by the bed itself. I had chosen this particular mattress because I now have an irrational fear of springs due to my previous experience, and although this one has springs, it is covered by a thick layer of memory foam. In fact it feels like the whole mattress is memory foam because I simply can’t feel the springs at all, even if I sit in one spot. Another bonus is that even if you move around a lot, the bed is still silent. Great for those lovebirds among us!
To be honest, when I first decided to choose a mattress, I have admit to feeling a little disappointed that Indigo doesn’t supply any fully memory foam mattresses, but those thoughts completely evaporated and I slept, uninterrupted, for the time in years. In fact I woke up at 2pm the next day, and yes, I forgot to set my alarm clock!

If you are reading this as a potential customer of Indigo you are probably thinking that I’m doing this just because I won a bed, but Indigo never insisted on my writing this testimonial. They simply asked if I could say a few words about my experience, and I was more than happy to oblige. The reasons are simple. I have used beds bought from the major manufacturers pretty much always, you know the ones with posturepedic this and miracle that, sprung bases, revolutionary new coil systems…you get the drift. The simple truth is that all it takes is a solid well made foundation and a good mattress. Yes you could get one of those beds from a major manufacturer that looks bland, isn’t particularly robust and degrades with usage at an alarming rate. Then again, you can have a top quality piece of furniture that actually grows in character with age. Indigo even provides you with a care kit containing beeswax to prolong the life of the bed and bring out even more of that superb grain over the years. I’m betting this bed will last a lot longer than the massive 15 year guarantee they give it, and probably longer than me!

I would like to thank the Woodland Trust for running this competition and for all they do in protecting our natural heritage. It goes without saying that I would also like to thank the people at Indigo Furniture. Apart from making superb furniture, the customer service is truly excellent. We were really very impressed by the level of customer service we received when we had to return a skinny junk table recently. The staff we dealt with were very helpful and there was no dispute about the fault with the table. It was replaced quickly and we couldn’t have been any more impressed with the whole experience. Yesterday, I received my living room furniture (cabinet, TV unit, Lamp table and Mirror all from the Plank Range) and I am absolutely ecstatic about them! After searching for suitable furniture on the internet for three months, I came across Indigo furniture’s website (changed my initial search on Google) and it had everything that I needed. The best part of it all was that with Indigo furniture, you can change the dimensions of the furniture to fit your exact needs!

I did the complete order process by phone/email and I must say I was a bit concerned to buy furniture based on internet photographs, without being able to visit the showroom in Matlock.

The sales consultants were extremely helpful and before placing my order they explained that I could visit the Kitchen and Pantry coffee shop in Notting hill (which they did the interior for) to get a better idea of the texture and colour of the wood. After my visit at Kitchen and Pantry, I was positive that the style was what I was looking for and quality was great. I placed my order the very next day! Finally my 3 month search for living room furniture was complete.

The colour of my TV unit is slightly lighter than the cabinet, but it proves that each piece is made from natural wood and it adds to the individuality of each piece. I can definitely recommend Indigo furniture to anyone. The service was excellent and the furniture is top quality and it looks great!

I am writing to you to give feedback on my ‘Indigo experience’. I have recently purchased some furniture items for my new house. Alyson Berry dealt with my initial query and helped me finalising my choices. I felt I was dealing with a real team and knew that every time I called your company I would be taken care of and properly informed of the progress of my order.

Your team organised a delivery date, which was inconvenient for me as I had an important meeting that very morning but they ensured the delivery would happen before 9am, which would give me time to get to work on time (I was also given alternative dates but I was too impatient to get my furniture!). Slightly sceptical at first, I saw the two Indigo delivery men, Liam and Paul, arrive, as promised, before 9am and getting on with putting the furniture together. They were most pleasant and also made sure all items were polished before they left.

I did get late to my meeting, only because I kept going from room to room staring at my new furniture, which I am delighted with! I have already had numerous positive comments from friends who asked me to pass the details of your company on (although I am a bit reluctant in doing so for obvious selfish reasons…). It does make a difference to have friendly and competent people over the phone, especially if you order furniture you have not seen in the flesh (no disappointment here, it’s even better than I thought!).

Just wanted to leave feedback for our recent furniture purchase. Thanks so much for everything. We absolutely love our sofas, and I’ve definitely chosen the cuddler as my chair!!! Nothing was too much trouble and it’s so nice to talk to people on the phone that are friendly and helpful ( Even when I changed my mind several times!!!).
